The Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple, is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. Dating back to the 1st century BC, it houses over 150 Buddha statues and intricate ceiling paintings.
The five caves contain religious art spanning over 2,000 years, making this UNESCO World Heritage site a treasure trove of Buddhist culture.
